Important notice - the Trust is now open for applications which should be submitted by 20th November 2026 at the latest.

The Trust has completed its first major strategic review and assessment of grant-making after 36 years, and Trustees have, with reluctance, decided that in order to maximise the impact of their limited funds, they must apply more restrictive parameters than has historically been the case. Our grant giving areas will remain the same, however because of limited staff and Trustee resources, from now on we will prioritise our funding on projects primarily based in England, and which are aimed at providing opportunities to improve connection and belonging for people who may be isolated as a result of blindness, learning disabilities, or cancer.

About us

Who we are

The Will Charitable Trust was established in 1990 by private philanthropy as a charity making grants to other charities.

Our aim

People experience less isolation because they have meaningful opportunities to connect, feel supported and be part of a community.

We do this by

Funding charities whose work is within these fields with projects based in England:

  • blind care
  • long term care of people with learning disabilities
  • cancer care

We give both project and, in some circumstances, unrestricted grants.

Our vision

A future where our beneficiaries have the support they need to connect and belong.

Applying to us

There are no application forms, but you must follow our guidelines and give us all the information we ask for or we will not be able to consider your application.
